Creative Director/Customer Support Specialist

Susan, a long-term resident of Florida, heads what we call our “Department of Creativity”.  Beyond her duties as Lynn University’s Director of Food Service Operations, Susan is responsible for designing regular and specialty menus, setting catering standards for Phoenix, constructing marketing and merchandising programs to reach our customer base in the various areas of service, oversight of specialty catering events and other strategies for improving customer enjoyment of our services.  An extremely creative person, Susan also assists in the development of new food ideas and concepts for our operations. 

  

She is extremely experienced in the public relations area.  In addition to her experience at Lynn University, Susan has also been the Director of Catering & Convention Services for the Deerfield Hilton Hotel and owned her own restaurant in East Hampton, New York.  For seven years she was the Assistant Food and Equipment Editor for Ladies Home Journal Magazine.  Her duties included   development, testing and evaluation of recipes to be published in the monthly women's service magazine. She also was responsible for food styling and the photography of developed food stories for the magazine.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from
Marymount College, Tarrytown, New York and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.  She has also studied at the University of Madrid, is proficient in Spanish and attended various Dale Carnegie courses.
